Where and how we work
The warehouse is located in Bacau, on Chimiei street, on an area of 324.830 square meters. Cell I has 5.17 ha, a volume of 855,000 cubic meters and a height of 40 meters.
The landfill has reached its capacity and storage activities have ended. According to environmental legislation and common environmental sense, the site must be greened and closed to prevent pollution and protect the health of local people.
Our project about the ecological closure of cell I Bacau follows a circular economy model, and this means that:
Reduce the amount of waste generated;
We recycle and reuse as much as possible;
We neutralize and isolate existing waste according to EU standards.
Ecological closure Cell I Bacau - greening stages
Stage 1 - Initial works and monitoring
The first stage lasts five months, plus 3-5 years of subsidence monitoring. We lay the foundation for the ecological works, systematize the site, rehabilitate the degassing system and closely monitor the interventions throughout the entire period of subsidence.
Stage 2 - Final closure and supervision
The second phase, lasting ten months, involves the realization of the complete closure system of Cell I, the collection and evacuation of rainwater, the drilling of boreholes for groundwater monitoring and the continuation of site surveillance to intervene quickly if the need arises.

Inoveco's commitment to the environment
We are starting the works with the relocation of 25,000 cubic meters of waste for the geometrization of the landfill and 30,600 cubic meters of soil for the supporting layer. We will also connect 13 biogas wells to the combustion plant. This project is not just about concrete, membranes or degassing.
