Iridex Group Plastic, a Romanian company with a tradition in the field of environmental protection, announces the reception at the end of the works to improve lighting at the educational units in Suceava by implementing the project with Romanian-Swiss intelligent lighting financing "Modern and efficient management of public lighting in Suceava municipality".
Thus, within twenty-two educational units, namely the main high schools, post-secondary schools and general schools in Suceava municipality, classical lighting appliances were replaced with LED lighting, the financing line aimed at improving the environment. The project lasted one year and was received at the end of October 2019.
The Swiss-Roman Cooperation Programme aims to reduce economic and social disparities within the enlarged European Union, with a view to reducing CO2 emissions and increasing the quality of life. The value of the project of rehabilitation of lighting in schools in Suceava Municipality is 2.27 million lei and involved the installation of about 10,000 luminaires, with related materials and installation work, in the 22 buildings of the educational units.
"We have as a priority the implementation of intelligent solutions that have an impact on the environment, and education projects are of major importance for Iridex Group Plastic who wants to be actively involved in environmental education and energy efficiency," said Ioan Hentiu, Project Manager Iridex Group Plastic.
The project carried out the energy evaluation by the algorithm of calculation of the entire amount of active energy consumed by the luminaires and the benefits resulting from their efficiency will reduce the consumption of electricity by 416 MWh per year. The warranty period granted to installation works is 24 months after implementation.
