For more than a decade, various natural hazard protection systems have been installed in many projects in Romania, such as flexible barriers against falling rock blocks or active roof stabilisation systems. The result was to ensure protection along the main road or rail routes. The aim of this online seminar is to present the experience gained over the past decade in terms of the performance of protection systems. The main points addressed will be:
– Problems in design
– Behaviour of systems
– The need to use and apply European rules and certifications (Eurocode 7 and EC marking)
