Composter with rotating cylinder

Composting of food waste "on site"

The rotating cylinder system was invented by Swedish Torsten Hultin and has been on the market since 1991. The first unit was commissioned in a residential area near Gothenburg in Sweden. Today, globally, there are over 800 installations in more than 35 countries.

They are completely closed composting equipment that is placed near the place where the waste is produced. It works continuously, requires daily food, does not generate unpleasant odors and eliminates the need for waste transport. They can treat quantities of waste between 40kg/day and 1500kg/day (14.6– 547t/year).

MODE OF OPERATION

The waste is fed into the composter together with the absorbent material. This can be composed of wood pellets, sawdust, wood chips, etc., in a proportion of 6% to 20% of the total mass of food waste put into the composter daily. The biological process that takes place in the composter reduces food waste by up to 90%. 100kg of food waste and added pellets generate about 20-30kg of quality compost, rich in nutrients and microelements, environmentally friendly.
