The SMID Prahova project reduces contamination risks, eliminates historical sources of pollution and improves the quality of sanitation services for tens of thousands of inhabitants of Ploiesti, Busteni and Urlati. The new transfer stations make waste collection and transportation more efficient, contributing to a cleaner environment and long-term sustainable management.
INOVECO SRL has participated in the implementation of the SMID Prahova project, having as object the closure of the non-conforming waste landfill in Ploiesti and the construction of the transfer stations Busteni and Urlati. These investments are part of the Integrated Waste Management System in Prahova County, contributing to the modernization of the infrastructure, the reduction of the environmental impact and the improvement of public sanitation services.
The project aimed to create a coherent infrastructure for the collection, transfer and transport of waste, through specialized sites, strategically located in urban areas of the county. By implementing these works, Prahova County is taking a significant step towards aligning with the European objectives on circular economy and responsible waste management.
