Inoveco has in its portfolio linear irrigation systems produced by Otech. Equipment of linear type irrigates plots of regular shape (square, rectangle). In these machines there is no fixed ground anchoring point, therefore, it must bear the mechanical pressures of the moving loads.

Characteristics of linear systems for irrigation:

  • The basket frame is made of galvanized steel S275 in accordance with NF EN ISO 1461 and is equipped with an electrical management system in accordance with NF EN909 February 2009 + A1;

  • As sources of water supply, the installations can use both hydrant networks and natural sources (lakes, rivers);

  • The application of water on the watering surface is 95% controllable;

  • The linear irrigation system is essentially a variation of the pivotal one, in which the fixed central point has been replaced with a mobile one.

OTECH linear irrigating installations have very large wingspans and are made of four-wheeled cart and self-propelled sections. The complex propulsion and alignment system allows it to operate on almost any type of terrain, extremely precise. 

The automation of watering leads to much improved yields, so:

  • a 70% reduction of the labor force is achieved;
  • a saving of 70% of the water and of 50% of the chemicals administered simultaneously with the watering is achieved, due to the flexible and efficient application schemes.
Models of linear systems for irrigation:
  • Speedy Rain – irrigates like a pivot and moves like a linear; the system can be operated by a single person and can be set in motion remotely; optionally it can be equipped with a guidance system with automatic movement.
  • The 4RMVE model – also called "rotating linear", combines linear and circular displacement due to the articulated elbow system mounted on a bearing; it combines a lateral transition to a rotating pivot; its four wheels make it able to tow a remarkable length of the hose.
