Project name: Execution of works for the investment objectives under ANIF administration, within the National Rehabilitation Program of the Main Irrigation Infrastructure in Roman - Lot I "Rehabilitation of the main irrigation infrastructure in the Calmatui Gropeni Chiscani, Braila County" in the estimated amount of 42.138.372 lei + VAT.
PROJECT DETAILS
Project objective aims to alleviate the shortcomings faced by water users in the development. The scheme has an appreciable share of total revenue generating capacity, has eligible water users and an assured water source.
The development is located in an area with increased incidence of drought.
The realization of the rehabilitation works will eliminate the negative effects of water losses and will ensure a more correct distribution of water volumes, with the effect of increasing the efficiency of the waterworks.
The realization of the rehabilitation investment will make irrigation economically viable.
Investment for rehabilitation of the main irrigation infrastructure is necessary because it leads to:
- increasing the efficiency of agricultural activity
- reducing risk and uncertainty in agriculture by reducing the incidence of droughts
- increasing the income of irrigation water user organizations
- increased reliability in the operation of pumping aggregates and reduced electricity costs
- reducing maintenance and operating costs
- improving environmental quality and reducing sources of pollution
DETAILS OF THE AMPLICATION - main irrigation infrastructure
The Calmatui Gropeni Chiscani Gromatui Chiscani Irrigation Scheme, jud. Braila, has an area of 12.879 ha and belongs administratively to the municipalities of Bertestii de Jos, Gropeni, Stancuta, Tichilesti and Tufesti, in Braila county. From the total area it is proposed to realize investment works on 4.920 ha, economically viable. The water source for the development is the Danube River through the SPA station Km 221 and the CPA 3 canal.

The works proposed for execution:
- Rehabilitation of the floating unit
- Replacing the 6 Dn 1200 discharge pipes with a length of 148 m/iron
- Rehabilitation of electrical installations - floating pumping unit
- Rehabilitation of automation installation - floating pumping unit
- Rehabilitation of CPA 3 adduction canal
- Rehabilitation of hydrotechnical constructions
