Project name: Execution of works for the investment objectives under ANIF administration, within the National Rehabilitation Program of the Main Irrigation Infrastructure in Roman - Lot II "Rehabilitation of the reversible pumping station SPR Baital and the network of adduction canals from Borcea de Sus, Calarasi County" in the estimated amount of 21.203.618,92 lei + VAT.
PROJECT DETAILS
The objective of the project is the rehabilitation of the main infrastructure in Borcea de Sus, Slovakia county. Calarasi. These works are necessary due to the high degree of degradation of the SPR Baital pumping station and the adduction channels serving the SRPA 1 and SRPA2 pressure stations belonging to OUAI Borcea de Sus, which no longer work at the efficiencies at which they were designed.
Current status – pumping station and irrigation canals:
Since the commissioning of these canals and until now (about 50 years), small maintenance and repair works have been carried out on the hydromechanical and electrical installations of the pumping station, and the repair of the impermeabilities of the canals has been carried out on small surfaces. The waterproofed surface is degraded in a proportion of 60 + 80%, which has led to very high water losses through infiltrations. Also, the degree of waterlogging in the sections of the canals has increased, which has led to a decrease in the speed of water flow and implicitly to the operation at high and very high levels.

The surface of the area for which the investment work is proposed is 2,871 ha and is in the public domain of the state, of public utility and viable from an economic point of view and administratively belongs to the commune of Borcea, Calarasi County.
WORKS CARRIED OUT IN BORCEA WITHIN THE PROJECT
The works proposed for execution:
SPR Base Pumping Station Baital
- Rehabilitation of the buildings related to the pumping station: the building of the pumping station and the building of the trafo substation
- Rehabilitation of technological pumping installations
- Rehabilitation of the suction pipes of the station
- Rehabilitation of the plant's discharge pipes
- Rehabilitation of electricity supply installations
- Rehabilitation of the pumping station enclosure
Rehabilitation of the CA 1-Borcea and CA2-Borcea adduction channels
- Removal of vegetation and solid deposits accumulated over time, along the entire length of each canal
- Recalibrating the channel section
- Making a new waterproofing on the entire section and length of each of the 2 channels
- Waterproofing using geotextile + geomembrane + reinforced concrete pouring with welded mesh.
