Execution of works at Satu Mare
Name of the work: "Closure of the urban waste landfill Satu Mare"
PROJECT DETAILS
The beneficiary of this project is Satu-Mare County, through Satu-Mare County Council, and the developer of the technical execution project, including the execution details is THP Engineering SRL.
The project is part of the investment objective "Regional management of urban waste and greening of waste landfills in Satu Mare County", a program under implementation since 2006. In accordance with the provisions of H.G. 766/1997, the construction is categorized in category "C" of importance.
LOCATION DETAILS
The non-compliant urban waste landfill is located in Satu Mare, 124-126 Odoreului Street and has a total surface of 253.723 square meters identified.
The building is owned by Satu Mare Municipality and was given to Satu Mare County Council for the duration of the project.
INVESTMENT OBJECTIVES WORKS IN SATU MARE
The objectives of this project are the execution and completion of the closure works of the non-compliant waste landfill in Satu Mare municipality, in accordance with the legal provisions and regulations, in order to comply with the provisions of the EU Directive on landfills (Council Directive 1999/31/EC) and to eliminate/reduce as much as possible the source of contamination of environmental factors (water, air, soil) and, implicitly, the impact on the health of the population of Satu Mare municipality.
WORKS EXECUTED IN SATU MARE WITHIN THE PROJECT
- Preliminary earthworks (removal of large and small vegetation from the site)
- Earthworks (excavation and transport of waste and soil, levelling-excavation and compaction of the land surface related to the warehouse, filling and covering with inert soil)
- Leachate collection (execution of hidden/buried drainage at the base of the deposit, installation of leachate pipe for gravity flow outside the leachate basin, installation of leachate chimney)
- Gas extraction system from storage (execution of vertical drilling for gas, equipment and installation of existing wells, equipment and installation of gas biofilter)
- Execution of monitoring wells (construction of groundwater monitoring system consisting of 8 wells)
- Perimeter road construction (access road from the edge of the warehouse)
- Rainwater harvesting and routing works (surface water collection and drainage system)
- Retention basin for rainwater retention (cleaning and decolmatation of rainwater retention basin)
- Final sealing system of the warehouse (earthworks)
- Landscaping (watering and fertilization)
