Execution of works at Rucar

New sewerage network and wastewater treatment plant

INOVECO SRL is the company that leads this project of execution of works in Rucar, in Arges County. Currently, there is no centralized sewerage system in Rucar village, and the inhabitants of the village use dry latrines of rural type, which affect the phreatic aquifer. That is why it is necessary to solve the sewerage problem in accordance with the Environmental Protection legislation. The proposed investment fits into the county development strategy.

PROJECT DETAILS

In order to ensure the sewerage and purge of the domestic wastewater of the Rucar commune, the following works will be executed:

  • a wastewater treatment plant;
  • sewerage network;
  • manholes for inspection and change of directives;
  • pumping stations;
  • undercrossings and overcrossings.

The wastewater treatment plant was sized for Q=1,384 cubic meters/day.

The domestic wastewater coming from Rucar village will pass through a total treatment plant provided to be made in compact solution and then in the emissary, dambovita river, through a 500 mm PVC collector. At the discharge of wastewater into the emissary, a mouth (of plain concrete) will be provided for the consolidation of the riverbed bank.

DETAILS ABOUT THE SEWERAGE NETWORK

  • The projected sewerage network has a length of 33,178 m, consisting of PVC pipe, SN4, having the following diameters: Dn 250 mm (L = 22.898 m), Dn 315 mm (L = 8.672 m) and Dn 500 mm (L = 1.608 m);
  • It will be made of PVC100 Sn4 pipe, the minimum depth of laying of the network will be 1.2 m on a sand bed of 20 cm. The maximum depth will be 6 m.
  • The signaling of the works will be done with the polypropylene warning tape.

DETAILS ABOUT MANHOLES

  • The manholes were provided at a distance of maximum 60 m between them and at each change of direction.

  • For the operation of the sewerage system, 853 manholes and 2,650 connection manholes were designed.

  • In the sewerage network were provided 11 undercrossings. 

  • For the extension of the sewerage network, 8 pumping stations were designed, with flows between 3 and 55 mc/h.

  • The pumping stations will be executed monolithically, at a depth of 4.00 m for 6 stations, respectively 6.00 m for 2 stations. The stations will be connected to the electricity network.

DETAILS ABOUT THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT

The pre-pumping basin for domestic water, the equalization, homogenization and pumping basin for domestic water and the sludge collection and pumping basin are buried buildings, caisson type. The treatment unit is an above-ground construction, consisting of containers, mounted on a reinforced concrete foundation.

The installation of the containers afferent to the station involved the following steps:

  • Organization of assembly works;
  • Identification of equipment, verification of the conservation status;
  • Preparation of the foundation;
  • Drawing the foundation axes and the gaps of the foundation screws;
  • Before installation, the equipment for the removal of foreign materials that could have accumulated during transport, storage and handling will be washed;
  • Cleaning the surfaces of the base slab that come into direct contact with the concrete;
  • Pre-mounted of containers;
  • Injection of anchoring screws;
  • Preservation of equipment, starting with the assembly period in the installation and until the completion of installation.
