Inoveco is implementing the project Integrated center for separate collection of waste by voluntary contribution in Buzau Municipality - Phase I, a strategic investment for Buzau County and an important step in modernizing the national waste management system.

Location details

The center is located on a 51.268 sq.m. plot of land situated in the urban area of Buzau, Tarlaua 39, Plot 709, Lot 1. The generous surface allows both the organization of the current flows and the possibility of further extensions. The location is accessible for both citizens and economic operators involved in recycling and recovery.

OBJECTIVES VOLUNTARY WASTE CENTER BUZAU

The central objective of this Buzau voluntary waste center is the development of a modern infrastructure for the collection, recycling and recovery of waste that cannot be managed through the door-to-door system. Among the key objectives:

  • increasing separate collection capacity for various waste streams: recyclable, bulky, textiles, biodegradable, electrical and electronic, hazardous
  • reducing the amount of waste abandoned in public spaces
  • Recovering recyclable materials and reducing consumption of natural resources
  • preparing Romania to reach the European recycling targets: minimum 50% by 2025.

WHAT IS A VOLUNTARY WASTE CENTER?

A modern space where citizens can directly bring different types of waste, which are then sorted, recycled or reused.

What can you bring to CAV Buzau?
  • Bulky waste (furniture, mattresses)

  • Recyclable waste (paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, metal)

  • Textiles and footwear

  • Used oils, tires, hazardous waste

  • Electrical and electronic waste

  • Green and biodegradable waste.

WORKS EXECUTED WITHIN THE PROJECT

The project includes both construction works and state-of-the-art technological facilities:

  • public area for the population, with specialized containers and multifunctional buildings (laboratory, offices, room for reconditioned objects)

  • private area for sorting, composting and handling mixed waste

  • automatic sorting line for mixed recyclable waste

  • composting station with two cells, shredder and mobile bin

  • pre-containers for paper, cardboard, plastic and textiles

  • modular containers for electrical, electronic, tires, tires, oils, glass and hazardous waste

  • storage areas and road platforms adapted to heavy traffic

  • modern equipment: trucks, trailers, excavators and multi-function loaders

  • Road improvements: access to the warehouse, perimeter inspection and technological access, berms/capac

  • Landscaping of green spaces by grassing and planting shrubs;

  • Facilities for monitoring:
    o Groundwater monitoring system;
    o Facilities for monitoring of heave and deformation of the repository body
