Inoveco team participated on September 26, 2023 at the International Symposium "Echoes of the 12th International Conference on Geosynthetics", organized by the Romanian Geosynthetics Association and the Technical University of Construction Bucharest (UTCB).
Our partners from Huesker, Concrete Canvas, Solmax and Afitexinov gave presentations at the event, some of them being the papers presented at the International Conference in Rome, which took place from 17 to 21 September 2023, just 5 days before the event in Bucharest.
Professor Kerry Rowe awarded Honorary Doctorate
The special guest of this event was Professor Kerry Rowe from Queen's University, Canada who gave two keynote lectures.
Professor Kerry Rowe is a leading figure in Environmental Geotechnology and Geosynthetics, with numerous achievements and international recognition.
At the proposal of the Department of Geotechnics and Foundations, the Senate of the Technical University of Constructions Bucharest approved that Professor Kerry Rowe be awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa, a ceremony that closed the event on September 26, 2023.
Who are our trusted partners?
HUESKER is a global geotechnical design and geosynthetics manufacturing company, known for providing system solutions for long-term strength and improved durability. The company specializes in providing cost-effective geotechnical engineering solutions and operates business units in major engineering sectors such as earthworks and foundations, roads and pavements, environmental engineering, hydraulic engineering, industry and agriculture and mining.
Concrete Canvas® is a UK based company founded in 2005. CC products are part of a revolutionary new class of innovative materials called Geocomposites with Cement. CC is a flexible, cement-filled geosynthetic that provides a thin, durable layer of concrete when hydrated. Typically 10 times faster to install than conventional concrete solutions; essentially, it's concrete on a roll.
Solmax is a world leader in sustainable building solutions for civil and environmental infrastructure. Its pioneering products separate, contain, filter, drain and consolidate essential applications in a more sustainable way - making the world a better place. The company was founded in 1981 and has grown through the acquisition of GSE, TenCate and Propex. It is now the world's largest geosynthetics company, empowered by more than 2,000 talented people. Solmax is headquartered in the province of Quebec, Canada, with subsidiaries and operations around the globe.
Afitexinov, an AFITEX Group company, specializes in the drainage, containment, waterproofing and soil reinforcement sectors. A French manufacturer of geosynthetics since 1992, the company has expertise in the construction, public works, civil engineering, mining and environmental markets.
What can the INOVECO team help you with?
We have been active in the geosynthetics market since the early 1990s. We offer a wide range of special products and systems, based on state-of-the-art technologies and manufactured by world-renowned manufacturers.
- Geocomposite drainage;
- Active geocomposites;
- Cementitious geocomposites;
- Geocomposites for asphalt reinforcement;
- Anti-erotational mattresses;
- Monoaxial, biaxial and triaxial geogrids;
- Wire gabions;
- Flexible Gabions - ARB;
- Protection systems against rock falls
The benefits of using geosynthetic materials include substantial cost and CO2 emission reductions. Also, by replacing traditional building materials (aggregates, clay, concrete, steel), installation time is significantly reduced.
